Spring in Boston | Photo Adventure

There's nothing better than shooting a beautiful person in a beautiful city with beautiful weather.

My lovely friend, Jay, and I took an adventure through Cambridgeside back in March. I - being more stressed out than I've ever been whilst preparing for my move/the end of school/the impending surgery - completely forgot that I had even taken these pictures. (Sorry, Jay.)

There's nothing better than shooting a beautiful person in a beautiful city with some beautiful weather. We can pretend that the wind WASN'T going a million miles an hour this whole time, even though it almost blew both me and my camera into the ocean. We can also pretend that I can swim.

Boston Tattoo Company | Artist Portraits

Boston Tattoo Company - my former workplace and current frequent hangout spot - asked me to shoot some portraits of their artists for a shop portfolio book. I was more than happy to oblige.

Between school and freelance illustration work, I don't have a ton of time for photography anymore (even though it'll always be my first love in the art world). However, this week, I got to dive into a really fun project with some of my favorite people in Boston.

Boston Tattoo Company - my former workplace and current frequent hangout spot - asked me to shoot some portraits of their artists. All of these guys are SO talented, on top of being unfairly photogenic. I've linked each photo to their respective instagrams, so show their profiles some love.

Alicia and Ian | Wedding Photography

Photography from Alicia and Ian’s beautiful Western Mass wedding.

I've been terrible at keeping up with this thing but, in my defense, it's been a really busy couple of months.

Once upon a time almost two years ago, I was working a nightmarish waitress job. I was miserable but the entire experience was totally worth it because I met this beautiful friend of mine, Alicia. She and Ian are two of the most kind hearted people I've been lucky enough to meet since I moved to the east coast. I'm so honored to have been a part of their wedding (including the most sitcom worthy bachelorette party of all time).

I love you guys!

I was working on that first photo while in the box office at work last night. My boss came in and was bordering on shocked that this was a real wedding. He was convinced that we'd staged it because everything, and I quote, was "too pretty."

Heroism | Stylized Shoot

A vision of hypothetical superpowers brought to life via thrift store costumes and photography by Michelle Gold of WaziFilms.

A few weeks ago my friend Cara and I had a conversation about what our hypothetical superpowers would be if we, say, lived in a radioactive town a lá Chernobyl. As is to be expected from me, this conversation ended up with us dressed in thrift store hero garb on my favorite roof in Allston. In both costuming and post work, we hope we look like we could be in comics.

This project was a collaboration with Michael Gold and all group shots/anything I was in were taken by him.

Big Big Buildings | Band Photos

I spent yesterday morning wandering around Somerville with Adam McElreath, artist and the musical genius behind Big Big Buildings.

Do yourself a favor and listen to this. It's beautiful and I'm not going to lie, I had it on repeat all evening while editing these photos.

Fitness Shoot | Behind the Scenes

I did a shoot for Brooklyn Boulders on monday that involved me balancing on four inch wide crossbeams ten or so feet in the air.

I did a shoot for Brooklyn Boulders on Monday that involved me balancing on four inch wide crossbeams ten or so feet in the air.

Here's a picture my friend took of that happening:

In any case, the shoot was a lot of fun and I learned something very important in the behind-the-scenes moments: my coworker is easily the most photogenic person I've ever shot. None of these were posed (in fact, I'm not even sure if he was aware I was taking his picture in the second and third ones).

Thanks, Donovan, for standing around and looking awesome.

A friend so aptly pointed out that this last one is reminiscent of a Charlie Chaplin movie, Modern Times, which I highly recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Mt. Auburn Cemetery

Gloomy Mondays are perfect for exploring cemeteries.

A fellow photographer friend, Cassy, and I decided that a gloomy Monday is perfect for exploring cemeteries. We ventured out to Mt. Auburn in Watertown. Cassy is an adorable model and took the opportunity to jump behind the lens as well. All the photos I'm in are hers and everything else is mine.
