Alyssa Alarcón Santo is a Los Angeles raised, Portland based illustrator and graphic designer.

Though she started her career as a portrait and advertising photographer, her love for typography and comic books led her to study illustration at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Since then, she has worked as a designer with brands on both coasts, scored some comic publications (including one in the UK), and grew into herself as an illustrator.

She spends her time drinking black coffee and dreaming up new projects with her husband (while still not sleeping very much). Her resume can be found here.

What the Hell Did I Just Read

An endlessly entertaining adventure with the characters we know and love, it's exactly what we all want from a JDatE novel. The title is apt (for real, what DID I just read?) and the hilarious chapter headings add a fun punch. Can't wait...

It's the autumnal equinox and I sincerely cannot wait for it to be sweater and spooky movies weather. It's been cooler up here in Portland, but who's to say whether that's because of the season changing or because the smoke has been blocking the sun

29 in 2020 and the sky is falling down around us. 🙃 I had fun trying to incorporate techniques I learned during yesterday's @lightboxexpo panels into this year's apocalyptic birthday portrait.

One of my best friends had a birthday yesterday and the lumberjack in the picture commissioned me to draw our group as Gravity Falls characters. This was a fun exercise in cartooning (and the gift was very well received). Happy birthday, Melissa! 🥰
